Local Alum News: The Fabulous Red Dress Affair

Four local alums attended this luncheon to promote heart health awareness in African American women.

Four local alums attended the "Fabulous Red Dress Affair: Healthy Heart Links" luncheon held at the Junior League and sponsored by the Links Chapter (Texas Spring Cypress Chapter), of which Wellesley alum Hon. Teta Banks '74 is a member.  The event was to educate African American women about the importance of taking care of overall health, especially heart health.  Data reflects that heart disease is the number one killer of Black women.  More than 200 women attended the luncheon, which was part of a 6-month grant to the Links by the American Heart Association.  Wellesley WAAD alums were Dr. Marian Bonner, '83, Hon. Teta Banks, '74, Atty. Ursula Hall, '87, and Dr. Traci Fuller, '84.
